iea-logo_2015-1The IEA is the UK’s original free-market think-tank, founded in 1955. Our mission is to improve understanding of the fundamental institutions of a free society by analyzing and expounding the role of markets in solving economic and social problems. We produce reports, books and papers on all areas of economic policy, as well as a termly journal. Our policy experts frequently contribute to newspapers, broadcast media and websites to further the dissemination of free-market thinking. We also hold an extensive series of conferences, seminars, lectures and working lunches (100 – 150 events a year) that bring together politicians, students, journalists, leading business figures, academics and others interested in public policy. These are listed on our events page. A student outreach programme provides internships, resources for students and university societies, and a range of events for students and teachers.

unnamedCashew is an app that lets you send money securely to friends, for free. We’re Oxford students who got frustrated that transferring money is so hard. Cashew lets you send money from your debit card in just a few taps, and your friend will receive the money in seconds. We think sending money between friends should be easy, and free. In the future, we’ll make money by charging businesses to accept Cashew.

TeachFirst logoOur mission is to end inequality in education by building a community of exceptional leaders who create change within classrooms, schools and across society.

Everyone can remember one incredible teacher that made a real difference to their life. We train and support committed individuals to become inspirational classroom leaders in low-income communities across England and Wales. These classroom leaders change lives. They help young people believe in themselves, and empower them to build a future they may not have believed possible.
